UPA, or University Preparatory Academy, is a charter school located in San Jose, CA; its charter was approved by the Santa Clara Board of Trustees. UPA opened in the fall of 2007(around June) as a middle and high school; however, it will only be offering 7-10th grades for 2008-2009.
