El Camino Memorial Park cemetery is located at 5600 Carrol Canyon Road in San Diego, California, in Sorrento Valley near La Jolla. Founded in 1960[1], El Camino is a 220-acre memorial park and is the final resting site for Jonas Salk (founder of the polio vaccine and the renowned Salk Institute), as well as several members of the well-known Kroc family (humanitarians and founders of McDonald's fast food chain), as well as other prominent citizens from the greater San Diego and Los Angeles area.[2] [3]

- Billy Daniels, singer known for "That Old Black Magic", film and television actor, TV's The Billy Daniels Show
- Joseph Coors Sr., COO of Coors Brewing Company and grandson of the founder, personal advisor to president Ronald Reagan
- Cedric Montgomery Durst, professional baseball player (played for the St. Louis Browns, the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox)
- Preston Foster, Songwriter, guitarist and Emmy nominated he-man actor in 1930's and 1940's films
- Dorothy Kelly, 1940s film actor (also known as Dorothy O'Kelly)
- Jess Kirkpatrick, Television character actor, played several roles on Leave it to Beaver
- Ray Kroc, founding partner of McDonald's food chain, owner of San Diego padres baseball team
- Joan Kroc, wife of Ray Kroc, humanitarian
- Violet La Plante, 1920s actor and sister of actor Laura La Plante
- Todd Loren, (real name Stuart Shapiro), murdered comic book publisher (possibly by serial killer Andrew Cunanan), founded Revolutionary Comics
- Maria Goeppert-Mayer, scientist. A physicist and Nobel Prize winner
- William Nierenberg, scientist, member of the Manhattan Project that developed the first Atomic Bomb
- Pete Alvin Rozelle, 29 years as Commissioner of the National Football League (NFL) and helped launch TV's successful Monday Night Football
- Milburn Stone, Emmy award-winning film and television actor, contract player for Universal Studios, played Dr. Galen Adams ("Doc") on the popular TV series Gunsmoke
