The format of the tournament is stroke play at 18 holes for four days, a total of 72 holes. The field consists of 156 players. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the top seventy players plus all players tied for 70th place. The 2006 purse was $3,000,000, with $540,000 going to the winner (the usual PGA Tour winner's share of 18%). The tournament was founded in 1986 as the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic.
