Rawls College of Business - Lubbock, Texas

Rawls College of Business is the business school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

"The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is the first college on [the Texas Tech] campus to be named after receiving a record $25 million gift from Tech alumnus Jerry S. Rawls. With a total student enrollment of just under 5,000, and an undergraduate population of 4,663 in 2001-02, the college is ranked the tenth largest undergraduate program among U.S. business schools.

The college has five areas of study - Accounting, Finance, Information Systems and Quantitative Sciences, Management, and Marketing - in addition to dual programs in conjunction with architecture, agriculture, foreign languages, law, medicine, and environmental toxicology. The MD/MBA in Health Organization Management (HOM) allows medical students the opportunity to obtain both an MD and the MBA degree over four years, the Physician MBA Program gives practicing physicians business expertise, the accelerated program allows select undergraduates to begin working on an MBA their senior year, and the International Business program helps Rawls College students study abroad. In addition, the Executive Education Department develops seminars, conferences, and training programs for professionals and managers in business, government, and industry.

In the latest U.S. News and World Report Rankings of Best Colleges, the Rawls College ranked 52nd among public university business colleges, with its goal to be in the top 50."
