The Angelo State University (ASU) is a university based in San Angelo , Texas ( USA ). She is a member of the Texas Tech University System and the Lone Star Conference. Angelo State University offers around 100 possible bachelor's degrees and 21 master 's degrees as degrees .
history
Angelo State University was founded in 1928. In 1947 the first building was erected on today's campus. In May 1967 the first bachelor degrees were awarded at the university. In May 1969, Angelo State College was renamed Angelo State University. After the death of the university president Vincent, Michael P. Ryan was elected interim president on August 9, 1994, before the current ruling president, Dr. E James Hindman became the third president of Angelo State University.

The campus (1.1 km²) has expanded considerably since 1965 due to a comprehensive building plan and today has buildings worth around 271 million US dollars . The construction of the Porter Henderson Library took place in 1967, the Raymond M. Cavness Science Building and the Concho skyscrapers were completed in 1968, the large sports hall in 1972. The 5,600 square meter Rassmann Building , in which the economics faculty is located, was built in Erected in the summer of 1983. The 8,000 square meter Mathematics-Computer Science Building , which houses the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science as well as the university's large computer center, was built in 1996. The Texan Hall student housing complex was recently completed, and a new student residence is planned on the west side of the campus.
Sports
Angelo State University has teams in the sports of American football , basketball , baseball , softball, and volleyball . The colors of the university are yellow and blue. The football team and all other men's teams are called Rams (Aries), and the women 's teams are called Rambelles (female Aries).
