The University of Texas at Tyler (also UT Tyler is called) is a state university in Tyler in the US state of Texas . The college was founded in 1971 and is part of the University of Texas system . There are currently 5,300 students enrolled here. In addition to the main campus in Tyler, there are subsidiary locations in Longview, Texas and Palestine, Texas.
