Obvious was the third single lifted from Westlife's album Turnaround. It peaked at #3 on the UK charts and #1 in Philippines' MYX for 4 weeks and #4 in radio airplay. In Sweden the single didn't fare quite as well, peaking at #25 and quickly fell off the charts.

Anthony Callea, who was the runner-up in the 2004 Australian Idol competition recorded a version of this song for his debut album Anthony Callea in 2005. He did not release it as a single.
