Naseeruddin Shah aka Nasiruddin Shah (b. 20 July, 1950) is an Indian movie actor.

He is known for acting in the New wave cinema of directors such as Shyam Benegal. Later, he made a successful transtion to Bollywood as well with movies such as Hero Hiralal and Tridev. He has starred in international projects such as Monsoon Wedding and a movie adaptation of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (co-starring Sean Connery). He also acts in plays.

He is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2003.
