Gameplay
The games pit two characters of the Dragon Ball franchise against each other in large environments, where they mostly fight in the air. The player can use strong and weak variations of close combat attacks, and charge their ki to fire strong and weak energy blasts. Each character also has three unique "Certain Kill" abilities that deal heavy damage to the opponent. The Certain Kill ability varies depending on where the player is located - above, below or horizontal to the opponent.
Both Games also feature tag team options, which allow up to three characters on each side to fight against one another.

Characters
The games feature many characters from the Dragon Ball franchise. Each character has her/his own attacks, sprite, and attributes from the anime; for example, Majin Buu slowly recovers health over time. In Supersonic Warriors, all characters have three seperate "levels" of power, with each subsquent level giving the character more strength and endurance, and in some cases, new sprites and attacks. In Supersonic Warriors 2, this system is dropped in favor of individual characters, who each cost an individual ammount of Dragon Points (DP). In the list below, the characters of Supersonic Warriors and Supersonic Warriors 2 are listed. In the case of Supersonic Warriors, if a character has more then one form (ex: the level 1 character is different from the level 2 character) then said alternate forms will be listed.
