Support for SPUI A userbox, {{User pedophile}}, was created by Paroxysm that said "This user is a pedophile." It was first used by Joeyramoney. The template was deleted and Joeyramoney was blocked even though he has been known to put false and humorous userboxes on his userpage. The fact that most people (including myself) do not find a joke about "a user being a pedophile" funny in the least, however, does not mean that an admin, a user, or anyone else has the right to say what is and is not funny. There is no established consensus on Wikipedia about what the community will or will not tolerate in terms of humor. About a week after the original userbox was deleted, SPUI created a parody template, {{User paedo}} in protest of this whole situation that read "OMG!!! This user has been attracted to underage females while not underage himself! This user should be banned." Admins proceeded to blank and protect his userpage and revert and protect his talk page. Eventually the whole case went to ArbCom and SPUI, an editor with tens of thousands of productive, good faith edits was banned for ten days for "fueling the fire". SPUI has subsequently decided to leave Wikipedia. As I have known SPUI personally for many years, I, out of support for him, proceeded to put SPUI's parody pedo box on my userpage 64 times. It was removed and I was threatened with a one-week block by Sam Korn. This is borderline moral panic and unacceptible in my eyes. Current Issues Jimbo Wales needs to get his act together and realize that bidding "good riddance" to editors with tens of thousands of productive edits will eventually lead to no editors being here to write his encyclopedia for him. Many articles on various Beach Boys albums are in dire need of POV removal. As is usually the case, too many Beach Boys fans have no sense of neutrality and always have to get their little jabs of opinion in. So far I have changed: M.I.U. Album L.A. (Light Album) The article on DualDisc still needs work to get it up to featured article quality. I need to try and help out on resolving the original research and POV problems on the DVD-Audio article. I need to continue expanding Rhode Island State Highways and articles under it. I need to start a Rhode Island WikiProject. Pet Projects These are my pet projects which have turned into a labor of love for me: DualDisc Rhode Island State Highways and all subsequent pages. 1.25 meters 33 centimeters I'm currently in the process of trying to get DualDisc up to featured article quality.
