Ehrengard (internationally released as A Simple Story) is a 1991 Italian drama film directed by Emidio Greco. It is based on the novel with the same name written by Karen Blixen.[1] It premiered at the 1982 Venice International Film Festival,[1][2] then, due to the bankruptcy of the producers, it was released theatrically just in 2002.[3][4]
