Lea Padovani (born July 28, 1920 in Montalto di Castro , Italy , † June 23, 1991 in Rome ) was an Italian actress .

Life

Padovani had received her training at the Accademia nazionale d'arte drammatica and initially began her acting career in revues, later she also appeared on classical stages. Lea Padovani celebrated her first big theatrical success in 1944 at the side of Anna Magnani in the play Cantachiaro . In 1945 she made her film debut. From 1947 she also appeared in international films, such as Slaves of Vice and House of Longing . During the 1960s, the stage and television gained greater prominence in Lea Padovani's career.

She made her last film in 1990 with The King's Whore .
