The jealous lawyer Ruska has followed his wife and accidentally kills the seamstress in a scuffle when he tries to penetrate past her into the room where the lovers briefly met. Ruska sneaks out of the house secretly. Renato also leaves the house, but is seen by a neighbor. While the police are looking for a young man to be the killer, Ruska tries to convince his wife Irene that Renato is the killer. However, this does not want to admit it.
