Alvaro Mancori

Alvaro Mancori (born September 15, 1923 in Rome ; † June 24, 2011 there ) was an Italian cameraman and film producer .

Life

Mancori began working on film in 1940 as a technician in the development and printing company "Boschi", but soon turned to the camera assistant for Mario Albertelli . In 1946 he became cameraman and three years later chief cameraman, in which capacity he photographed numerous films until 1966; He achieved remarkable works, especially in black and white. In 1963 he was co-founder of the "Elios Studios", in which u. a. a large western village arose which was used for many productions. On a number of occasions, Mancori has also produced some notable genre films, as well as Sergio Cittis Ostia . Under the pseudonym Al World , he directed a mythological film about Hercules based on his own script and production in 1964 and an episode for Il mostro in the same way the following year .

His brothers Guglielmo and Sandro were also cameramen.
