Gentleman Killer (Original title: Gentleman Jo ... uccidi ) is a spaghetti western from 1967. Giorgio Stegani staged under a pseudonym to with Anthony Steffen and Eduardo Fajardo occupied in the lead roles, divided by the critics recorded film in the German-speaking region on March 29, 1968 had its premiere. A border town claimed by Americans and Mexicans is being terrorized by a gang of unscrupulous Mexican bandits when professional gamer Joe arrives. Soon he is in danger of being hanged for his passion. Joe's brother, Captain Clay Reese, the only representative of the American government in the area who hopes for troops to avoid being captured by the Mexicans, is able to save Joe from the gallows - but is then killed by the Mexicans who want to consolidate their influence.

Joe, who is called a "gentleman" because of his excellent manners, now goes on a campaign of revenge against the gang and can eliminate many of them. But then he is captured, tortured and taken to the gallows again when Mexican soldiers, who are now officially supposed to take over the city, save him from it. They arrest the bandits and let Joe go.

criticism

While the lexicon of international films sees a “brutal Euro-Western full of clichés and subliminal racism”, Christian Keßler considers the “incredibly action-packed” film to be “extremely entertaining, even if the story soon turned out to be (albeit very well ) Chases evaporated ”, while Ulrich P.
