Life

Born in Paris, she won the title of "Miss France" at the age of 16 and subsequently received her first film role from producer and director Henri Diamant-Berger . In 1958 committed to Spain for the female lead in Antonio Román's melodrama “ Los clarines del miedo ”, the young mime settled in Madrid and appeared as Silvia Solar in a plethora of average, but sometimes quite popular, entertainment productions. She was married for several years to her first Spanish film partner, the former torero Rogelio Madrid .

Solar was set to play the role of “beautiful accessories”; she was the prototype of the “decorative lover” and “racy friend of the hero”, but also acted as an opaque femme fatale or as an occasional villain and shrewd opponent of the protagonist.

Initially, the mostly red-haired Solar was given leading roles throughout, but by the beginning of the 1960s, her parts shrank a little to a sometimes medium-sized level. Sporadically she went to neighboring countries, to France or Italy, for films . The actress (as Silvie Solar ) worked for two Jerry Cotton strips in 1965 and 1967 in German studios. The majority of her work - comedies, romances, dramas, spy thrillers, paella westerns, horror films as well as war adventures, action films and erotic films - were international box office hits.
