Eduardo Fajardo (born August 14, 1924 in Meis , Pontevedra ; real name Eduardo Martinez Fajardo ; † July 4, 2019 in Mexico ) was a Spanish actor .

Life

Fajardo spent his childhood in Haro and went to study in Santander . Contrary to the tradition of his family of merchants, Fajardo, who had a sonorous voice, began his acting activities in 1942 as a voice actor for mostly American films; his first feature film in a listed role was Heroes del 95 (1947), which he made after signing a contract with the production company "Cifesa". Between 1953 and 1963 he lived mostly in Mexico, where he took part in numerous television and film projects; After returning to his native country, Fajardo worked incessantly for the film and was known for his roles in numerous spaghetti westerns, but also played in other genres , such as in many Gialli and adventure films . From the 1980s, he was mainly seen in television series.

Fajardo's distinctive appearance and noticeable screen presence let him usually take on the character roles of bandit bosses or noble, but vicious bon vivants. A stage name Fajardo was Edward Hamilton . After retiring from film and television, he moved to Almería , where he has directed the theater project "Teatro sin Barreras" since 2002, in which people with disabilities play and for which he occasionally took on guest roles.

In 2011 Fajardo was honored for his career in Níjar .
