The Clan of Killers (original title: Un tipo con una faccia strana ti cerca per ucciderti ) is an Italian - Spanish coproduction crime film directed by Tulio Demicheli . In German-speaking countries, the film opened in cinemas on May 10, 1974.

action

The aging Gaspare Aversi, who earned his money with dark businesses, is killed by Don Vito acting on behalf of the Mafia. His son Rico ends up in prison trying to avenge him. Dismissed after two years, he follows on the heels of his father's former partner, Cirano, who now works for Don Vito. With the help of pretty Scilla, he manages to get 500 million and several diamonds - the proceeds of a trade between the mafia boss and a Marseilles man. Now he not only has to come up with something against the Marseillian's revenge and the killers that Don Vito is setting on him, but also get rid of Cirano, who is claiming the booty for himself. Ricos family is murdered by the gangsters before he himself wins a duel with the boss, but has to pay with his life for it.

criticism

“This popcorn cinema is brilliantly entertaining without excessive technical perfection,” writes Karsten Thurau in his book on the genre. "Brutal gangster film that mixes sadism with sex and sets a monument to a questionable hero." Is the verdict of the lexicon of international films . The Italian critics particularly praised the three main actors and the fast direction, which did not allow boredom, but also criticized the large portion of sex and violence.

Remarks

The alternative - and considerably shorter - original title is Ricco .
