Christopher Mitchum
Christopher Mitchum (born October 16, 1943 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film actor .
Life
As the son of Hollywood legend Robert Mitchum , Mitchum's path seemed mapped out. His career also got off to a buoyant start with roles in the John Wayne films Chisum (1970) and Big Jake (1971) and the Howard Hawks classic Rio Lobo (1970). But then followed a long dry spell, in which he starred in quite violent action - B-movies , mainly in Spain, Hong Kong, Indonesia and the Philippines. In 1989 he took on the leading role in the German comedy " Gummibärchen nicht küsst one kisses" . In 2014, Mitchum ran for the Republican Party in the 2014 congressional election in California's 23rd district, but narrowly lost to incumbent Lois Capps of the Democrats.
