Shelly Martinez (born February 9, 1980 in Chino, California) is a model, actress, and professional wrestler. She is currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment's ECW brand under the ring name Ariel.

Ohio Valley Wrestling
In April 2005, Martinez signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. By July of that year, she was relocated to WWE's primary developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling, in Louisville, Kentucky for further training. Shelly debuted in OVW as the co-manager for Aaron Stevens along with Beth Phoenix. Later in the year the team broke up. While training in OVW Shelly has been in numerous feuds with Beth Phoenix, Roni Jonah, Serena, Sosay,Christy Hemme, Cherry, and Fuji Cakes. At an OVW House show that took place on October 29, 2005, Shelly Martinez won her debut singles match when she defeated Mickie James. Shelly lost to Christy Hemme and Matt Cappotelli in a 3 on 2 Mixed Tag Team match, Shelly partners were Beth Phoenix and Aaron Stevens. In late December 2005, Shelly and Beth Phoenix accompanied Aaron Stevens to the ring at several WWE SmackDown! house shows. Beth and Shelly Martinez appeared on the January 28, 2006 episode of WWE Heat as part of the Heart Throbs Throb-o-meter section, they begin to dance in the ring with the Heart Throbs before teasing a kiss, Trevor Murdoch interupts before they kiss, and the next match began.
At the February 22, 2006 OVW TV Tapings, Shelly came to ringside and attacked Sosay in a match that feautured Elijah Burke vs Robbie Dawber. Since then Shelly had been obsessed with Paul Burchill. On March 8, 2006 OVW TV Tapings Shelly got in a catfight with Beth Phoenix because Paul Burchill came to ringside and Beth started slapping him, which made Shelly mad. At the March 18, 2006 OVW TV Tapings Shelly lost to Beth Phoenix.
On the May 6, 2006 edition of WWE Velocity, Shelly appeared as a buxom wench gimmick manager of Paul Burchill in Burchill's match against The Road Warrior, however this angle was soon dropped. [1]
Shelly then proceeded to become involved in Seth Skyfire's feud with Mike Mizanin and Roni Jonah. At the May 10, 2006 OVW TV Tapings Shelly and Seth Skyfire lost to Roni Jonah and Mike Mizanin in a mixed tag team match after Beth Phoenix interfered during the match.
Extreme Championship Wrestling
Shelly debuted in Extreme Championship Wrestling as Ariel, a tarot reading fortune teller on the June 20, 2006 episode of ECW on Sci Fi. She was later joined by Kevin Thorn, a vampire character who has been stalking ECW arenas, as she announced that she "saw a future that held blood" followed by Thorn spitting "blood" at the camera. Ariel was in the corner of Fertig when he won his debut match. The following week, Ariel announced that the vampire is named Kevin Thorn.
