Matthew Neil Milne (born 1990) is an English actor, who is best known for his role as Andrew Easton in War Horse, and his role as Alfred Nugent in Downton Abbey.
Life and career
Milne was born in Hereford, Herefordshire, where his father was a gardener.[1] In 2011, he appeared in the Steven Spielberg film War Horse based on the book of the same name by Michael Morpurgo playing the character of Andrew. Early 2012, Milne was announced to have signed on the popular ITV period drama Downton Abbey as the character of Alfred, a footman.[2] He made his first appearance on Downton Abbey on the first episode of Season 3 and continued to appear until the finale episode of Season 4.
