Sarkar 2 (Hindi: सरकार 2, Urdu: 2 سرکار) is the planned sequel to Sarkar (2005). The film is said to be directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Supposedly, this will be the movie in which Abhishek Bachchan becomes the new Sarkar. Bachchan's ascendance to the role of Sarkar is another direct parallel to The Godfather, indicating that this sequel will be heavily influenced by, or basically a Hindi remake of The Godfather Part II. Aishwarya Rai has also been signed to star in the film opposite Abhishek
