Abhishek Bachchan ( Hindi : अभिषेक बच्चन , Abhiṣek Baccan ; Urdu ابہشیک بچن; * February 5, 1976 in Bombay ) is an Indian actor .

Life

The son of film legend Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan followed his parents as an actor in Bollywood . Abhishek Bachchan has been married to superstar Aishwarya Rai since April 20, 2007 . On November 16, 2011, they became parents to a daughter.

Career

After a moderate start from 2000, his acclaimed portrayal of a gangster in Yuva in 2004 attracted a lot of attention, featured in the most successful film of the year Dhoom! - The hunt begins (Dhoom) as the super policeman Jai Dixit and in 2005 he finally rose to the ranks of superstars with four hits in a row, Bunty and Babli , Sarkar , Dus and Bluffmaster . In 2006 he was seen in two of the biggest productions of the year, in Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna - Until happiness do us part (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna) and in Dhoom 2 - Back in Action . The film did not become a commercial hit. In the third part of Dhoom he went on the hunt for criminals again with his partner Ali. In Dhoom: 3 , Aamir Khan plays the antagonist. The film broke revenue records and won many awards in various categories. In Farah Khan's hit Happy New Year , which was his only film in 2014, he played a double role alongside Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan .
