action
Cool Rikki Thukral and elegant Alvira Khan are waiting for a train at London's Waterloo Station . However, this is over an hour late and to pass the time, they sit in a café and get into conversation. Rikki lines up briskly, whereupon Alvira makes it clear that she is already engaged and is waiting for her future husband. But Rikki also indicates that he is engaged and is also waiting for his future wife.
After this has been resolved, both feel more secure and start telling how they met their loved one or loved one. Rikki tells of his encounter with Anaida in Paris , the city of love, and Alvira describes Steve's heroic act of rescuing her from a falling "Superman" statue. Both are so impressed by each other's love story that a sympathy develops and they swap numbers.
When the trains arrive, they part ways to pick up their loved ones. But lo and behold: Rikki picks up his business partner Huffy and Alvira picks up her relatives. They repent of their lies and yet they want to uphold the falsehoods. Alvira takes the first step and contacts Rikki with the excuse that her fiancé would like to meet Steve Rikki. They agree to meet at a club that has a dance competition.
Rikki hires the prostitute Laila to play his nonexistent Anaida, while Alvira persuades Satvinder to slip into the role of Steve. In the club, the four take part in the dance competition, from which Rikki and Anaida emerge as winners. The next morning, Satvinder goes to Rikki's apartment and confesses that he is in love with Anaida and that it was all just a game. In the end, Rikki and Alvira come together.

criticism
“(...) With scenes in London, Paris and India, he plays on the global stage and primarily appeals to our dance and laugh muscles. Both in a not always perfect manner. I would therefore only recommend JBJ to those who want to immerse themselves for two hours in a thin, predictable and relatively low-emotion, but playfully implemented Bollywood comedy which, in addition to a top soundtrack and many film references, also shows chic costumes and dances. Trivia
- This film partly points to older Bollywood films, such as B. the scene in which Bobby Deol and Abhishek Bachchan drive a motorcycle with a sidecar through the streets. This pays homage to their fathers Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan , who both feature in the blockbuster Sholay in a similar scene.
- The German DVD is only available in Hindi with German subtitles.
