Dhoom is an Indian film . One of the most successful Indian films of 2004 , it brought a new genre to Bollywood that deals with motorcycle action.
The German premiere took place on March 10, 2006 on the free-to-air television station RTL II , albeit as a shortened version.

A gang of motorcyclists rob money vans in Mumbai . The case is assigned to hardline police officer ACP Jai Dixit. In the process he meets the petty crook Ali, whom he initially suspects, but then works with him. In an unsuccessful attempt to capture the gang, Dixit shoots one of the members and a break occurs between him and Ali. Kabir, the head of the gang, tries to win Ali as a replacement for the man who was shot in order to steal from the largest casino in Goa . In the end, however, it turns out that Dixit and Ali continue to work together and the gang can be arrested, Kabir dies.
Sequels
The second part of the film ( Dhoom 2 - Back in Action ) was released in India on November 24, 2006 . Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra play again, Hrithik Roshan takes on the role of villain.
Dhoom: 3 was released on December 20, 2013 and was released on DVD in Germany in May 2014. The film was released in German cinemas on January 9, 2014 and took in around 82,000 US dollars at the box office. Dhoom 3 has one of the highest revenues, as a Hindi film, in Germany, after Happy New Year - Heart Thieves
