John Abraham (actor)
John Abraham ( Hindi / Marathi जॉन अब्राहम Jŏna Abrāhama , Malayalam ജോൺ എബ്രഹാം , born December 17, 1972 in Mumbai , Maharashtra ) is an Indian actor and model .
Life
John Abraham's Christian father is an architect from Aluva , Kerala , while his mother, a Parsin , was a basketball teacher. Both became secretly engaged because of their religious differences; Abraham's birth narrowed the gap between parents and grandparents. Abraham has a younger brother named Alan.
Abraham first went to Bombay Scottish School and later to Jai Hind College , where he held the position of captain of the football team. After completing a Masters in Marketing, he worked as a media planner after college while Abraham was also the captain of Mumbai's soccer team.
In 1999 he won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest and traveled to Singapore to take part in the Manhunt International beauty pageant . There he took second place. Abraham then advertised Provogue as a model and became India's highest paid photo model.
In 2003, Abraham made his first and very controversial film Jism in Bollywood . In 2005 he had himself photographed for the Indian PETA campaign.
