Baabul ( Hindi : बाबुल , bābul ; Urdu : بابُل) is a Hindi film by Ravi Chopra from 2006. Although the film shows many well-known Indian stars and it was also widely published, it flopped at the box office.

Balraj Kapoor is a wealthy businessman, happy and content with his world. He and his wife Shobhna are the proud parents of their son Avinash, who has studied and lived abroad for seven years and is now returning to his homeland in India. Soon after his return he falls in love with the pretty Malvika. But after a stupid mishap she fell out with his father Balraj and so Avinash pretends to be a poor man and wins her heart.

Eventually the truth is revealed, but Balraj asks Malvika to marry her son anyway. She agrees and soon after the wedding she gives her husband a son. But Avinash's fatal accident destroys their happiness and Malvika falls into depression .

Balraj can't stand Malvika's sadness and wants to bring happiness back into her life. He meets Rajat, Malvika's best friend and has been secretly in love with her for years. Balraj asks him if he would like to marry Malvika, but Balraj's older brother Balwant opposes this decision. Finally, he is persuaded by his brother and agrees to the marriage. Now nothing stands in the way of Rajat and Malvika and they make the marriage bond.
