Transformers: Victory, known in Japan as 'Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers Victory (トランスフォーマー・ビクトリー, Tatakae! Chou Robot Seimei Tai Transformers Victory), is an anime series produced by Toei Animation.

Development

Transformers: Victory is the third of the Japanese sequels to the Generation One series, and is very different from its American counterpart. The style is derived heavily from animes of this time era. Transformations of the robots were more monumental and taking much more time instead of being done quick on the fly. It was much closer aligned to the Japanese super robot animes of the 80s. Still frame effects were used wherever possible to compensate for high levels of animation compared to previous series.

Story

The main storyline consists of a struggle between Star Saber, the leader of a small group of Autobots, and Deathsaurus, a Decepticon conquerer. While Victory has a more linear plotline than its predecessor series, Headmasters and Masterforce, its heavy emphasis on action is complemented by dynamic and well-animated action sequences. Victory, like Masterforce, features very few characters from previous seasons of the show, almost entirely replacing the cast.

Brainmasters

Brainmasters were Transformers who came with an individual partner, who when combined formed the host's face.

  • Star Saber - Cybertronian Super-Jet: The main character of the series, He is armed with a saberblade, and his name is sometimes misread as Star Sabre
  • Road Caesar - Combined Form of Blacker, Braver and Laster

Multiforce

The Multiforce consisted of six Autobots who could combine with each other as well as one entire entity. This technology is similar to the powerlinking process seen in Transformers: Energon. The following were the most common combinations used in the series.

Sixchanger

  • Greatshot - Assault Tank, Jet, Horned Beast, Armored Car, Assault Gun
    • Greatshot was a retooling of the U.S. figure Sixshot

Decepticons

Breast Force

The Breast Force were Decepticon warriors whose breast plates transformed into animals as well as weapons to tip the scale in battle.

Dinoforce

The Dinoforce are a team of Pretenders with dinosaur shells. They toys are redecoed versions of the American Pretender Monsters, with new dinosaur shells. They provided the comic releaf in the series.
