Transformer: Superlink ( Japanese ト ラ ン ス フ ォ ー マ ー ス ー パ ー リ ン ク , Toransufōmā: Sūpārinku ) is a television series in the Transformers series and the second part of the Unicron trilogy, in which the Transformers were computer animated. The series continues the events ten years after Transformers: Armada , there are characters from the previous series, such as Optimus Prime, Megatron and Rad White, as well as many characters who did not appear in the previous series, such as Rodimus Prime , Kicker and Alpha Q.

It has been 10 years since the Battle of Transformers: Armada and the apparent destruction of Unicron . Alpha Q releases energy-guzzling Terrorcons from the belly of the planet-eater, which are supposed to steal energon energy from the Cybertron cities of the Autobots in the solar system in order to obtain the necessary energy for Alpha Q's plans. Alpha Q tries to bring Megatron back to life in order to bring the Decepticons on their side, but Megatron can take control of Unicron's body and forces Alpha Q to flee. Together with the now united Decepticons, Megatron wants to conquer the earth, which is however protected by the humans together with the Autobots. However, the Autobots manage to create a new energon energy field and thus repel the attack by the Decepticons, with which they can now draw their attention to Unicron.
After Unicron, badly damaged by the fire of the Energon towers, leaves the home world of the Autobots, they join forces with Alpha Q, whose true goals are only now becoming apparent: They try to restore what Unicron has destroyed. During the heavy battle between Megatron and the Autobots on Cybertron, all of the energon energy of the earth is bundled in Unicron's head, which Alpha Q then rams into Unicron's body, creating a fissure in Unicron's body through which Alpha Q restore all worlds destroyed by Unicron can. The Autobots intend to protect the restored worlds with energon towers, while Megatron and the Decepticons see the new worlds as further energy sources for the restoration of Unicron, which has become an energon sun through the procedure.
The further skirmishes between the Decepticons and the Autobots end in the energon sun being ignited and the worlds restored by Alpha Q being filled with life again.

The series was produced by Actas in 2004 under the direction of Jun Kawagoe and Yutaka Sato. The character design was created by Yuka Takashina, the music was composed by Kazunori Maruyama . It was first broadcast from January 9th to December 24th, 2004 on TV Tokyo .
In the United States, the series was broadcast as Transformers: Energon from January 31, 2004 to June 1, 2005 on the Cartoon Network television station. Hero showed the anime in the Philippines, VTM in Belgium, Cartoon Network in Italy, France, Spain and Latin America.
