Transformers: Armada ( Japanese 超 ロ ボ ッ ト 生命 体 ト ラ ン ス フ ォ ー マ ー マ イ ク ロ ン 伝 説 , Chō Robot Seimeitai Transformers: Micron Densetsu ) is an anime series from 2002 based on the Transformers franchise and originally conceived as an advertising medium for it. The series later continued as Transformers: Energon and Transformers: Cybertron .
action
War is raging on the planet Cybertron. Autobots and Decepticons have been at war with each other for thousands of years. In doing so, they developed a subclass of their species, the mini-cons. Originally, these robots were intended to entertain the Transformers' home planet during the war. But it was soon discovered that a Mini-Con connected to a normal transformer can amplify it a hundred times. Now Autobots and Decepticons are fighting for the power of the mini-cons.
When Megatron and his Decepticons seem to be gaining supremacy, Optimus Prime and the Autobots help the Mini-Cons escape from Cybertron. However, their ship is attacked by the Decepticons during the escape and is badly damaged. So they have to flee through a space bridge into the unknown and land on a small blue planet far away from Cybertron. Many mini-cons are thrown from the ship during the landing. There they fall into a deep sleep and remain in this state for millions of years.
Finally, two boys discover the spacecraft of the Mini-Cons and unintentionally send an emergency signal to Cybertron, which in no time leads several Decepticons and Autobots to Earth. The war for the mini-cons is now starting all over again on earth.
