He also worked as storyboard artist on Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, The Madagascar Penguins in a Christmas Caper and Flushed Away.
In 1993 Bergeron founded the animation studio "Bibo Films" in France.[2] He directed the 2011 film A Monster in Paris,[3] which he dedicated to his father. Bergeron is an alumnus of the Gobelins School of the Image.
In 2020, he was arrested for sexual abuse.[4] The allegations dated back to 2011 when he was accused of allegedly sexually harassed and raped a staff member during the production of A Monster in Paris. The victim committed suicide before Bergeron's arrest. The allegations have led to Bergeron being replaced as the director of Charlotte, an upcoming animated biopic based on the life of German-Jewish painter Charlotte Salomon.[5]
