The most northerly Eckington is a town in North East Derbyshire, 7 miles north of Chesterfield and south of Sheffield on the border with South Yorkshire. Featured in the Doomsday Book in 1086 (as Echintune), the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul dates back as far as 1100 in some areas. Local attractions include Renishaw Hall, a 400 year old Manor House.


Eckington, Worcestershire, United Kingdom

The other Eckington is a small village in the county of Worcestershire, England, UK. The beautiful village is located by the River Avon at the west side of Bredon Hill. The nearest historic towns by Eckington and also situated along the River Avon are Pershore which is 4 miles north and Evesham 10 miles north east. The historic town of Tewkesbury is situated 8 miles south west which includes the River Severn which the river also runs through the nearest city of Worcester (18 miles from Eckington).
