Walter Foster Barfoot was a Canadian Anglican bishop in the 20th century.[1]

Born on 17 October 1893, he was educated at the University of Toronto and ordained in 1923. He was a Tutor at the College of Emmanuel and St. Chad Saskatoon and then a Professor at St John’s College, Winnipeg.[2] He became Bishop of Edmonton in 1941 [3] and Primate of All Canada a decade later. Elected Metropolitan of Rupert’s Land[4] in 1953, he retired in 1960 and died on 28 June 1978.
