Álvaro José Domínguez Cabezas (born June 10, 1981 in El Cerrito ), Álvaro Domínguez for short , is a Colombian football player who has played for Atlético Junior since 2014 .
Career
society
Álvaro Domínguez began his career at Deportivo Cali when he was young . In 2000 he started his professional career at Deportivo Cali and spent a total of seven years with his club. There he played more than 150 games. In 2002 he was loaned to two different clubs, Deportivo Pasto and Atlético Huila . A year later he was loaned to Estudiantes de Mérida . It wasn't until 2007 that he moved to the Swiss club FC Sion . For the 2011/12 season he was signed by the Turkish club Samsunspor . After a season in Turkey, Domínguez moved to his youth club Deportivo Cali . After 58 league games and eleven goals in 2012 and 2013, Domínguez moved to league competitor Atlético Junior for the 2014 season .
National team
Álvaro Domínguez made his debut for the Colombian national team in 2003. He made one game in the Copa America against Paraguay and several friendly matches before the Copa America. He scored one goal in seven games.
