Álvaro Duarte , full name Álvaro Daniel Duarte Estévez , (born August 20, 1984 in Tacuarembó ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.72-meter-tall defensive player Duarte, who was already part of the Tacuarembó department selection under coach Armando Duarte , played in the Asociación de Fútbol de Tacuarembó for Estudiantes at least from 2006 to 2009 . In 2006 and 2007 he won the title of both the Torneo Clasificatorio and the Liguilla with his club in Divisional A. Overall, he contributed to this in 2006 with one and in 2007 with six goals and in 2007 he was the most successful goalscorer of the competition behind Progreso player Sebastián Silva (nine goals), tied with three other players. Also in 2008 Duarte, who again contributed a goal, was with Estudiantes champion of the Asociación de Fútbol de Tacuarembó in the Divisional A. In that year he was also successful twice as a scorer for Fritsa in the Divisional B in the first half of the year. In 2009 he finished with the team in the Torneo Clasificatorio, 2nd place in the table in Divisional A and in the subsequent Liguilla. He contributed to this with two goals each. In 2011 another goal was recorded in Divisional A at Estudiantes for Duarte.

He later moved from OFI to the professional division of the AUF , where he was champion of the Segunda División with Tacuarembó FC in the 2013/14 season and contributed to it with seven second division appearances. He didn't score a goal. In the 2014/15 season he was used seven times (no goal) in the Primera División . After relegation at the end of the season, he played eleven times (one goal) in the league in the second division season 2015/16.
