Ángel Rodríguez , full name Ángel Leonardo Rodríguez Güelmo , (born December 2, 1992 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Depending on the source, the 1.71 meters or 1.74 meters tall midfielder Rodríguez has been part of the squad of the Uruguayan first division club Defensor Sporting since 2012 , from whose junior team he emerged. There he was used in the first division season 2011/12 once (no goal) in the Primera División . He also ran five times in the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 (no goal), in which his club reached the final. In the 2012/13 season he played two more games (no goal) in the top Uruguayan division. In 2013 he moved to league rivals River Plate Montevideo . In the 2013/14 season, the Montevideans have completed three first division matches (no goal) for him. In the 2014/15 season he was used 23 times (one goal) in the Primera División and four times (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . During the 2015/16 season he played 24 times (one goal) in the league and six times (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2016 . At the beginning of July 2016, he moved to Club Atlético Peñarol , for whom he played nine top division games (no goal) and twice (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Sudamericana in the 2016 season.
