The U-20 Copa Libertadores ( Engl. U-20 Copa Libertadores ) is a registered since 2011 been football club competition in South America for male soccer players under 20 years. Because of the sponsorship of the Latin American mobile operator Movistar, an offshoot of the Spanish telephone company Telefónica , it also operates under the name "Copa Movistar Libertadores SUB20" . The competition will be played as a tournament in a host country within two weeks.

The competition is comparable to the UEFA Youth League , which has been played in Europe since the 2013/14 season , even if the conditions of participation and the mode of play are not identical. The junior champions of the ten South American countries and Mexico are entitled to start, whereby U-18 or U-19 teams are also at the start, depending on national requirements. The game is played in a host country within a few weeks. As hosts, Peru sent two teams in the first play. In 2012, the field of participants was increased to 16, with hosts Peru including the defending champion from 2011 being allowed to send three teams and Argentina and Brazil two teams each. In addition, Atlético Madrid was represented by a European representative.
