Annuar Kümpekeev

Änuar Qajyrgeldiuly Kümpekejew ( Kazakh Әнуар Қайыргелдіұлы Күмпекеев , Russian Ануар Каиргельдыевич Кумпекеев Anuar Kairgeldyjewitsch Kumpekejew * 16th June 1984 in Pavlodar , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician.

Life

Änuar Kümpekejew was born in Pavlodar in 1984. In 2005 he obtained a Bachelor of Economics from Lomonosov University in Moscow . He then went to Great Britain on a scholarship, where he graduated from the University of Bradford with a Master of Economic Policy in 2007 . A third university degree was added in 2016 when he graduated from the Kökschetau State University .

He began his professional career in 2005 as an employee in the Department of Economy and Finance of the Kazakh Ministry of Health. From 2007 to 2008 he was director of the marketing and commercial department and head of the strategic development department of the National Center for Biotechnology in Astana . Between December 2009 and July 2012 Kümpekejew was director of the department for science and technology policy and managing director and member of the board of the state company "Kazakh Center for Modernization and Development of Housing and Communal Services". He then held the position of deputy Äkim (mayor) of the city of Stepnogor in the Aqmola region . On May 24, 2015, he was appointed Äkim of the city.

He was the mayor of his hometown Pavlodar since August 22, 2018. On July 2, 2019, he was dismissed from his post by Bolat Baqauow , Governor of Pavlodar Oblast. Kümpekejew had been exposed to public criticism in the previous months because he had an expensive apartment and furniture bought at the city's expense.
