Édouard Rowlandson (born July 20, 1988 in Luxemburg , Luxemburg ) is a French volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career indoor volleyball

Édouard Rowlandson played indoor volleyball as a youth at Le Touquet ACVB and from 2005 in the Center National de Volley-Ball as well as in the junior national team, with which he won the silver medal at the European Championships in 2005 and 2006. From 2007 to 2012 the Libero was active at Arago de Sète and came to 52 appearances in the senior national team , with which he became vice European champion in Turkey in 2009 .

Career beach volleyball

Rowlandson has played beach volleyball nationally and internationally since 2012, initially at the side of Yannick Salvetti . In 2013 Andy Cès was his partner, and from 2014 to 2016 he played with Youssef Krou . Rowlandson / Krou won the FIVB Open in Xiamen in October 2014 . At the 2015 World Cup in the Netherlands , they reached the main round, in which they were eliminated from the eventual world champions Alison Cerutti and Bruno Oscar Schmidt from Brazil. After a two-year hiatus, Rowlandson won the FIVB 1-star tournament in Montpellier alongside Olivier Barthélémy in September 2018 . Rowlandson then played a few tournaments with Krou until March 2019 and some tournaments with Barthélémy from April to June 2019.

Rowlandson has an English father and a French-Serbian mother, and two younger siblings.
