Youssef Krou (born June 19, 1989 in Agadir ) is a French - Moroccan volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career indoor volleyball

As a youth, Youssef Krou played indoor volleyball at AS Cannes and from 2007 in the Center National de Volley-Ball as well as in the French junior national team, with which he became European U19 champion in 2007. From 2009 to 2014 the outside attacker was again active at AS Cannes and became French runner-up here in 2010.

Career beach volleyball

Since 2014 Krou has played beach volleyball nationally and internationally, initially alongside Édouard Rowlandson . Rowlandson / Krou won the FIVB Open in Xiamen in October 2014 . At the 2015 World Cup in the Netherlands , they reached the main round, in which they were eliminated from the eventual world champions Alison Cerutti and Bruno Oscar Schmidt from Brazil. From September 2016 to September 2018, Quincy Aye was Krou's new partner. Krou / Aye won the FIVB 1-star tournament in Agadir in July 2017 . At the end of 2017 , the two French had three more top placements on the World Tour. From October 2018 to March 2019 Rowlandson was again Krous partner.

Private

Krou has a Moroccan father and traveled a lot in his youth. He lived u. a. seven years in Madagascar .
