Émile Lacharnay

Émile Lacharnay (born March 26, 1888 in Lyon ; † April 8, 1962 there ) was a French racing car driver .

Racing career

Émile Lacharnay was born as Émile Souzy in 1888 and - unusual for the time - took on his wife's surname after the wedding. In the 1920s he was active as a hill climb driver and started once in the 24-hour race of Le Mans . In 1925 he drove a works DFP VA Type 7cv together with Jacques Millies . The vehicle was disqualified during the race because the two drivers could not keep the prescribed minimum driving time.
