Doriot, Flandrin et Parant was a French automobile manufacturer.

Company history

In 1908, the former Peugeot employees Auguste Doriot and Ludovic Flandrin, who previously ran the Doriot-Flandrin company, founded the new company Doriot, Flandrin et Parant in Courbevoie together with the brothers Alexandre and Jules-René Parant . The brand name was DFP . After the First World War , the company could not repeat the previous sales successes. Due to financial difficulties, production ended in 1926 and Voiturettes Th. Lafitte took over the company.

vehicles

Until 1910 there were still models with single-cylinder engines in the program, which corresponded to the models from Doriot-Flandrin. There were also new models with four-cylinder built -in engines from Chapuis-Dornier with either 2400 cm³ or 2800 cm³ displacement . In 1910 the smaller four-cylinder model 10/12 CV with 1592 cm³ displacement followed. This engine with side valves also came from Chapuis-Dornier. In 1911 the not very successful model 25/30 CV with a six-cylinder engine with 3617 cm³ displacement was also in the range. In 1912 the production of own engines began.

From 1919, built-in motors from Altos and Sergant , later also from CIME , were used. It wasn't until 1923 that the company began producing its own engines again.
