Ateliers Defrance Frères was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Eugène Mauve founded the company in Vierzon in 1919 and began producing automobiles. The brand name was Elfe . Production ended in 1922. In 1923 Eugène Mauve founded Cyclecars Mauve .

vehicles

The company manufactured cyclecars . In the street version with either one seat or two seats in a row, a V2 engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle, which propelled the rear wheels via belts. In the sports version with chain drive , a V2 rear engine with 1100 cm³ displacement from Anzani was used. There was also a model with two seats in a row.
