Constantinesco was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Romanian-born George Constantinesco (1881-1965) for operation in London the Constantinesco Torque Converter Ltd . In 1926 he founded a company for the production of automobiles in Paris and in the same year exhibited vehicles at the Paris Motor Show . The brand name was Constantinesco . Production ended in 1928.

The only model 5 CV was a small car. A two-cylinder two - stroke engine with a displacement of 494 cm³ provided the drive . The drive took place on one of the two rear wheels. A special feature was the torque converter that the British company manufactured by George Constantinesco. The open two-seater cost 250 pounds sterling . The original price for a closed version was £ 370, but this version was no longer on sale.
