Établissements Albert Guyot et Cie was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The racing driver Albert Guyot founded the company in Clichy in 1925 . One source cites a connection to racing driver Albert Schmidt. The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Guyot . Production ended in 1931. In total, around 30 or around 70 vehicles were built. One vehicle still exists.

The first vehicle based on a chassis of a Rolland-Pilain and was equipped with a built-in motor of the Burt McCollum with 1984 cc displacement equipped. Guyot used this vehicle with little success in various car races in 1925. This was followed by two two-seater racing cars.

From the fourth vehicle onwards, it was a touring car . The first model of this type was presented in 1925 and had a self-made six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2500 cm³. Six-cylinder engines from Continental were used in the series version . In April 1926, Guyot introduced the GST 27 . A six-cylinder engine with side valves and 3450 cm³ displacement provided the drive. GST 29 followed in 1929 . These two models were available in six different bodies. These included limousines with four and six side windows, a chauffeur-driven limousine and a model with a Weymann body .

1929 added a model with rows - eight-cylinder engine from the same manufacturer with 5172 cc engine offering. Only two copies were made: a four-seater convertible and a roadster .
