Automobiles Ardex was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Nanterre company started manufacturing automobiles in 1934. The brand name was Ardex . Production initially ended in 1937. Vehicles were built again between 1952 and 1955.

In 1934 Ardex manufactured a small car in the style of the English three-wheeler Morgan . A V2 engine with 500 cm³ displacement provided the drive . A four-wheeled car followed in 1937. With a new price of 5500 French francs , it was the cheapest on the French market.

In 1952, Ardex introduced a microcar . A single - cylinder two-stroke engine from Société Anonyme Briban (SABB) with either 100 cm³ or 125 cm³ displacement powered the vehicle. A built-in engine from Fichtel & Sachs with a displacement of 50 cm³ was also available. The vehicle was 240 cm long and 107 cm wide.
