Company history

The company from Suresnes started producing automobiles in 1909. The brand name was Le Zèbre . Production ended in 1931.

Jules Salomon , who later designed the Citroën Type A at Citroën , developed the first 5 CV model with a single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 600 cc . In 1912, two four-cylinder models with a displacement of 785 and 942 cc followed. The models were produced in relatively large numbers until 1917/18. From 1923 there was a larger model with a displacement of 2000 cc.

Vehicles of this brand can be seen in several automobile museums, mainly in France. According to a census in 1996, there are still 250 complete vehicles worldwide, with over 20 in Belgium alone.
