Automobiles Motobloc was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Charles Schaudel had manufactured automobiles in his company Ateliers Schaudel in Bordeaux . In 1902, Émile Dombret took over the company and renamed it Automobiles Motobloc . Motobloc was chosen as the brand name because the engine and transmission were interlocked. Production ended in 1930.

The first model largely corresponded to a model by Schaudel and had a two-cylinder engine . The first four-cylinder model followed in 1904 , and the first six-cylinder model in 1909 . They were high quality vehicles.

In 1927 the range consisted of four-cylinder models with displacements between 1327 cm³ and 3000 cm³. In 1929 the four-cylinder model 9 CV with 1453 cm³ displacement and the two six-cylinder models 10 CV with 1683 cm³ and 15 CV with 3013 cm³ displacement were offered.

A vehicle of this brand can be seen in the Automobile Museum Col·lecció d'Automòbils de Salvador Claret in Sils .
