Company history

The company Jiel-Laval et Cie from Bordeaux began in 1899 under the direction of Joseph Jiel-Laval with the production of automobiles that were marketed as Mignonette-Luap . Production ended in 1900. There was no connection to Mignonette from Neuilly-sur-Seine .

The only model was a small car. A built-in engine from De Dion-Bouton in the rear provided the drive . The engine output was specified with 2.25 HP and 2.5 HP. In the event of a breakdown, the vehicle could be moved with cranks and muscle power.

A vehicle of this brand still exists and was used in the 2011 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run .
