Brierre was a French manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles .
Company history
The company EJ Brierre of Paris began in 1900 with the production of automobiles and motorcycles. Between 1900 and 1902 a maximum sales Brierre the Atlas of Prunel . In 1901 Brierre took over the distribution of the Cottereau brand for the greater Paris area. Automobile production ended in 1903.

The first model was a small car or a tricycle, depending on the source. A single-cylinder engine provided the drive . The engine output was 3.5 hp . The engine was mounted in the stern. One source states that the engine was obtained from Morisse . Two sources name De Dion-Bouton as an engine supplier. As a special feature, the engine had an air-cooled engine block and a water-cooled cylinder head. The open body offered space for two people. This model was produced until 1901.
1901 began production of a model from Cottereau under license . This model had a V2 engine with 7 HP power, which was mounted in the front of the vehicle.
